High Protein Chicken Wrap Recipe – Easy, Healthy & Delicious 38g Protein Meal

Looking for a high protein chicken wrap that’s both delicious and easy to make? This recipe is one of my favorite healthy chicken wrap ideas for lunch or dinner. It’s a protein-packed meal that tastes like something from a café but is simple enough to make at home.

This high protein chicken wrap is perfect if you’re trying to increase your protein intake, eat cleaner, or enjoy a satisfying healthy wrap recipe without feeling heavy. With juicy seasoned chicken, creamy cottage cheese ranch, and fresh veggies, it’s a balanced and flavorful protein-packed lunch you’ll want to make again and again.

Method

Make the Ranch Dressing

To start, we’re going to prepare the creamy cottage cheese ranch dressing. In a jar or blending cup, combine ½ cup of Good Culture low-fat cottage cheese, 1 tablespoon of pickle juice, ½ teaspoon each of garlic powder, onion powder, dry dill, and dry parsley, along with ¼ teaspoon of salt and ⅛ teaspoon of black pepper. These seasonings give the dressing a fresh, zesty flavor that pairs perfectly with the savory chicken. Using an immersion blender (or a regular blender if you prefer), blend everything until the mixture becomes completely smooth and creamy. This should only take a few seconds with a good blender. Once done, set the dressing aside it’ll be used later to coat the warm chicken and add that signature ranch flavor to your wrap.

Season the Chicken

Next, prepare the chicken. Take ½ pound of chicken breast and cut it into small, bite-sized cubes. This helps it cook faster and makes it easier to eat in the wrap. Place the chicken pieces into a mixing bowl, then drizzle them with ½ tablespoon of avocado oil. Add your seasonings: 1 teaspoon each of garlic powder and onion powder, ½ teaspoon of paprika, ½ teaspoon of salt, and ¼ teaspoon of black pepper. Use a spoon or your hands to massage the spices into the chicken thoroughly, making sure every piece is evenly coated. This step ensures that every bite is flavorful and well-seasoned.

Cook the Chicken

Now it’s time to cook! Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Once it’s hot, add the seasoned chicken to the pan in a single layer. Let it cook for about 5 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally so all sides of the chicken get nicely browned and fully cooked. You’ll know it’s ready when the outside is golden and the inside is no longer pink. If you have a meat thermometer, make sure the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F for food safety. Once cooked, transfer the chicken into a clean bowl and pour the prepared cottage cheese ranch dressing over it. Stir gently until all the chicken is coated in that creamy, tangy dressing.

Wrap It Up!

To assemble the wrap, place your lavash bread on a clean, flat surface. Lay a handful or two of fresh lettuce along the long edge of the bread this helps keep the wrap crisp and adds a nice crunch. On top of the lettuce, add the creamy ranch chicken, followed by the diced tomatoes and red onions. Be careful not to overfill it, so the wrap stays neat and easy to roll. Starting from the edge with the filling, roll the lavash tightly but gently, making sure not to tear the bread. Once rolled, use a sharp knife to slice the wrap in half. Now it’s ready to serve and enjoy!

  • 1 Tbsp pickle juice

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp dry dill

  • ½ tsp dry parsley

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ⅛ tsp black pepper

Directions

  • Make the Ranch Dressing
In a jar or cup, add the cottage cheese, pickle juice, garlic powder, onion powder, dry dill, dry parsley, salt, and black pepper. Use an immersion blender or regular blender to mix it until it’s smooth and creamy. Set it aside you’ll want this ready when your chicken is hot!
  • Season the Chicken
Cut your chicken into little cubes. In a bowl, mix the chicken with avocado oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub the spices all over so every bite is full of flavor!
  • Cook the Chicken
Heat your skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 5–6 minutes. Stir it around so all sides get golden and tasty. Make sure the inside is no longer pink and the temperature is 165°F. Then, remove it from the skillet and mix with the ranch dressing.
  • Wrap It Up!
Lay your lavash bread flat. Start building your wrap on the long side. First, place the lettuce, then pile on the creamy chicken, chopped tomatoes, and red onions. Carefully roll it up tight but gently so it doesn’t rip. Slice it in half and serve!

Notes

  • Don’t skip blending the cottage cheese it won’t taste like ranch unless it’s smooth!
  • Roll the lavash carefully. If you roll it too fast or tight, it might tear.
  • Keep the heat medium-high while cooking the chicken so it cooks evenly without burning.
  • If you’re meal prepping, keep the dressing and wrap parts separate until you’re ready to eat. That way, it doesn’t get soggy!

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve it with a side of sweet potato fries or cucumber slices.
  • Cut it into pinwheels for a fun party snack!
  • Pair it with a smoothie or iced tea for a full meal.
